53rd Parish Feast of Parumala Thirumeni at St. Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Hyderabad (Oct 30 – Nov 6, 2022)

St. Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Hyderabad which is also called as the Parumala of Telangana & Andhra was blessed to witness the Feast of St.Gregorios, Parumala Thirumeni after 2 years of pandemic. The feast is a gathering of all the parishes in the Hyderabad region, requesting the saint to pray for us. The feast flagged off on 30th October with the inauguration of the newly consecrated Kodimaram.

There was Holy Qurbana on the 120th Memorial day of St.Gregorios followed by poor feeding on 2nd Nov.

As the tradition goes, Hyderabad witnessed Padayatra on 5th November. Padayatra to St.Gregorios Cathedral started from St. Mary’s Chandangar at 7:00am and halted for lunch in St. George Jeedimetla and continued to St. Andrews Secunderabad where we had the evening prayer blessed by His Grace Yuhanon Mar Policarpos.
Devotees successfully completed the Padayatra of 40 km and reached the destination by 8:00pm IST and ended the blessed day with the Benediction by Thirumeni.

His Grace Yuhanon Mar Policarpos was the chief celebrant of the Holy Moonninmel Qurbana, held on 6th Nov. Many devotees across religions was present at Hyderabad Orthodox Cathedral and attained Parumla Thirumeni’s blessing at the Relics. The final ceremonial pradhikshanam was held in the end, marking the conclusion of a blessed feast.
